We take the protection of our patients' protected health information (PHI) very seriously, and we have implemented strict measures to ensure that all PHI is handled in accordance with the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).To comply with HIPAA, we have implemented technical, physical, and administrative safeguards to secure all PHI that is stored, transmitted, or accessed through our systems. This includes:

1. Encryption of all data in transit and at rest to prevent unauthorized access

2. Access controls to ensure that only authorized individuals can access PHI

3. Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate potential security risks

4. Staff training on HIPAA compliance and data security best practices

5. Regular backups of all data to ensure data availability in case of a disaster

We also have a comprehensive HIPAA compliance program in place, which includes ongoing risk assessments, security reviews, and regular updates to our policies and procedures to ensure that we remain in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

The Philippine government criminalizes those who breach sensitive data, like PHI (Data Privacy Act of 2012) which is similar to HIPAA in the United States. Filipino citizens can still be held accountable for working with entities outside the country. You can learn more here.

All our Virtual Assistants are based in the Philippines which treasures it's relationship with other countries thus they have create the Data Privacy Act of 2012 which is similar to HIPAA in the US. This ensures that all sensitive information is protected by the law and repercussions ensue if violated. Our Virtual Assistants undergo extensive background checks, sign a non-disclosure agreement and and HIPAA certificate training to understand data security to a greater extent. We archive professional licenses and other achievement/training certificates of our Virtual Assistants as well as photo ID and address which can be readily available to you. A Business Associate Agreement between our Virtual Assistants and Clients is highly recommended as you would with any other contractor that may have access to PHI (protected health information).
